Privacy Policy

When you request a PDF report, we collect:

• Your email address — verified via a one-time code before any data is saved.
• Your calculator inputs — home price, mortgage rate, rent, investment return assumptions, and time horizon.
• Computed results — the outcome of your calculation (e.g. whether buying or renting wins, breakeven year).
• Approximate location — country, region, and city derived from your IP address at the time of the request. We do not store your IP address itself.
• Marketing preference — whether you opted in to receive occasional updates (checkbox on the download form, unchecked by default).

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting on this site beyond Vercel Analytics (anonymous, aggregated page-view data).

• To deliver the report — your inputs are used server-side to generate your 30-year projection PDF.
• To send updates — only if you checked the marketing opt-in box. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
• To understand our audience — aggregated, anonymised analysis of what home prices, rates, and outcomes are most common. No individual profiling.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal bases for processing are:

• Legitimate interest — storing your email and inputs to fulfil your request for the PDF report.
• Consent — sending marketing emails, only where you explicitly opted in.

We retain lead records (email, inputs, results, location) for up to 24 months from the date of collection, after which they are deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Delete your data at any time.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails (unsubscribe link in every email).
• Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@yourdomain.com. We will respond within 30 days.

• Resend — used to send the verification code email. Your email is transmitted to Resend solely for this purpose. Resend Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — used to store lead data. Data is hosted on servers in the EU (Frankfurt) by default. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — hosts this website and provides anonymous analytics. Vercel Privacy Policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the calculator after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
